MORE ABOUT CHERYL & JF
Describe your journey to a simpler or more minimal lifestyle-
You could say that since JF and I have been together we have unknowingly leaned towards living a simpler lifestyle. We consciously started working towards simplifying our spaces in 2014, after reading many popular blogs and books on the minimalist lifestyle. Simplifying our possessions led us to want to simplify the rest of our lives, through our thought life, our bodies and our relationships with those around us. We started Revive to chronicle our journey and to hopefully share with others who are striving to rethink simplicity in their lives.
Do you have a personal motto or creed that you live by?
My personal motto is “Aim for excellence, not perfection”
From whom or what do you find inspiration?
I (Cheryl) find inspiration in JF and all he has faced in his life, and still conquers it to become a better version of himself.
What is the first thing you do when starting your day?
I try to wake up before my kids (which is early) to have either time to go for a run, or spend some time in Bible reading, prayer and meditation. Followed promptly by a cup of hot coffee!
What is your favorite book?
One book that I am loving now is Mind Gym by sports psychologist Gary Mack.
