Describe your journey to a simpler or more minimal lifestyle-
Someone once challenged me to think of the moments when I experienced the greatest joy. I’ve realized that those moments have very little to do with getting, and a lot to do with giving. I’m hoping that living minimally, having a small material footprint, and de-cluttering my life (both physically and emotionally) will help me bring that joy in the community and relationships that I cherish.
What is your favorite quote?
“Don’t ask yourself what the world needs. Ask yourself what makes you come alive and go do that… Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.” – Gil Bailie
Do you have a personal motto or creed that you live by?
For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it; but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.
From whom or what do you find inspiration?
My friends, my mentors and my family.
What is the first thing you do when starting your day?
I read. And I wish I could say that I don’t check my email too, but I do.
What is your favorite book?
That is a tough question! Lately I’ve been loving “What Color Is Your Parachute?” by Richard Bolles. I love his insight on finding a career that reflects who you are.
