The past couple of weeks I have seen what seems to be a surge in posts about decluttering our homes among the minimalist community. Maybe it is the warmer weather that opens up the call to start going through our ‘stuff’ and getting rid of what we don’t need. Admittedly, I did my own decluttering this week as well and made a trip to the local donation center just yesterday. It feels great to get rid of things you aren’t using and free up space in your home. I never realized how much having ‘things’ in my line of sight caused me internal stress and tension, until I started getting rid of them and feeling a relief of sorts as I walked around my home, with areas of empty space in view.
Check out these great posts and offerings by some of my favorite minimalist bloggers and websites for some quick motivation to do a little decluttering of your own.
